Ingredient Highlights

  • Chili-Lime Rub: The fresh lime zest enhances the smoky heat of the chili powder, creating a bold, flavorful base.
  • PB&J Glaze: Creamy peanut butter blends with strawberry preserves for a nostalgic yet sophisticated sauce, elevated with sambal, soy, and fish sauce for depth.
  • Crunchy Peanut Topping: A mix of roasted peanuts, cilantro, scallions, and shallots adds texture and freshness.
  • Lime Wedges: Bright acidity ties everything together, cutting through the richness.

Pro Tips for the Best Wings

  • Let the wings marinate: A longer rest (up to overnight) allows the chili-lime rub to fully absorb into the meat.
  • Bake at a high temperature: Ensures crispy skin while locking in juiciness.
  • Toss in sauce after baking: This prevents the sugars in the PB&J glaze from burning.
  • Don’t skip the toppings: The peanut-cilantro garnish adds texture and contrast, making every bite dynamic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different jam?

Yes! Grape, raspberry, or apricot preserves would work well, each offering a unique twist.

What if I don’t have sambal?

Substitute with sriracha or a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.

Can I air-fry the wings?

Absolutely! Air-fry at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, for crispy results.

How do I make them extra crispy?

Pat the wings dry before seasoning and let them rest uncovered in the fridge overnight to dry out the skin.
