step 1
Make the filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Green Cabbage (1/2 cup), White Onions (4 Tbsp), Carrots (4 Tbsp), and Kosher Salt (to taste) and toss to coat completely. Set aside.
step 2
Make the toast: Place a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of Unsalted Butter (2 Tbsp) and Olive Oil (2 Tbsp).
step 3
Once the butter is melted, sprinkle the Brown Sugar (1 Tbsp) onto the piece of Bread (1 slice) and place, sugar side down onto the skillet and toast until golden, then flip and continue cooking until golden and caramelized on both sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
step 4
Place the Ham Slices (3) in the pan and top with the American Cheese Slices (2) to warm through and melt the cheese completely.
step 5
Cook the filling: Add Farmhouse Eggs® Large Brown Eggs (sponsored) (2) and Scallions (4 Tbsp) to the cabbage and mixture and mix to combine.
step 6
Place 2 tablespoons of Unsalted Butter (2 Tbsp) into the pan and pour the cabbage mixture into the pan. Use a spatula to try and shape the mixture into a large rectangle in the pan.
step 7
Let the mixture cook until the eggs begin to turn golden brown on the bottom, about 3 minutes. Carefully flip the mixture and continue cooking until cooked through, about 3 more minutes.
step 8
Drizzle the bread with Ketchup (to taste) and Mayonnaise (to taste), if desired. Place the cabbage on top of the bread and top with the ham and cheese. Sprinkle more scallions to finish.
